Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Printing proof cover for the magazine "Western Story," published by Street & Smith. The cover is blue with an image of a Hispanic male in a tan sombrero with gold adornment on the rim, yellow shirt, and red and white sarape. The man is leaning against an exposed brick building. He has a lit cigar in one hand and a pistol aimed straight ahead in the other. A wanted poster with his image on it is pasted to the wall of the building. Above the image is red and white text: "Street & Smith's // Western Story // Magazine // Every Week." Printed below on the right is yellow text: "First on the // Trail // Always in the // Lead." A yellow circle on the upper left corner has black text with the price of the magazine: "15¢." On the lower left corner is the NRA eagle logo printed in a red circle.
