Description Five individual color print illustration proofs for a biography of Mark Twain taped together. The first illustration is of a group of people seated at a dining table drinking tea. The walls are red. The second illustration is of a man, Mark Twain, seated in a lounge chair in a lobby. A dog sits at his feet. The dog is being petted by a man in a Calvary uniform. Attached to the illustration is a color chart and a stamp with the manufacturers name and proof information. The third illustration is of boys skinny dipping in a river. Two boys are jumping in as two more swim. A dog watches from the shore. The fourth illustration is of a figure running from a stage. Another boy brandishes a gun on the stage and other patrons in the audience watch. The fifth illustration is of a children seated behind wood benches in a classroom. A school teacher walks behind the benches as two students read, and one student steals a brownie from another unwatching student.
