|Description||White envelope addressed to "Mr Richard Tanner" from the Hotel Yancey in Grand Island, Nebraska. The return address advertises the hotel as "FIRE PROOF" and an image of the hotel is on the left side of the front. The envelope is postmarked November 20, 1928 and has a two cent stamp with an image of George Washington. The back of the envelope has a small seal with a "Y" and an "H"|
Tanner, Richard Jerome, 1869-1943
Dr. Richard Tanner was also known as "Diamond Dick," who lived from 1869-1943 and enjoyed a career as a showman in wild west shows.
Construction on the Hotel Yancey was completed in 1917.
