Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Magazine clipping of the May 4, 1957 Saturday Evening Post cover featuring the illustration "Waving to Train in the Distance" by John Falter. The illustration depicts four children standing on top of a green hill waving to a passing red train engine pulling passenger cars through brown fields in the country. In the foreground is the roof of a white house and trees. A path leads to the top of the hill and down to the house. In the distance is a patchwork of green, yellow, and brown fields. Trees and hills border a lake in the background. On the lower middle left edge is the artist's printed signature. At the top of the cover is the title of the magazine, date, and a listing of articles contained in the magazine. An address stamp is adhered to the lower left with graphite writing over the top. A red stamp is pressed into the middle of the cover with postage due. An address is written in graphite upside-down on the top middle edge.
