Cardboard backed color poster of the March 3, 1951 Saturday Evening Post Cover, Home Recital, by John Falter. The cover features a family in a living room where five people are seated and listening to a girl play a white piano. A woman stands next to her turning the pages of her sheet music. Four listeners, adults, are seated on two blue chairs and a couch. Two of the adults look grumpy, slouched down in their seat. One adult male is sitting upright with his hands resting on his crossed legs. The other adult, a male, is sitting on the couch and is poking used cigarettes in an ash tray with match sticks. The fifth listener, a boy, is lying on the grey carpet playing with a sailing ship. The boy is wearing red earmuffs over his ears. The living room is set up with the couch along the right edge. The chairs are next to the couch forming an "L" with the back of the chair to the piano. Behind the piano is a bookshelf and the entryway to a darkened dining room. A coffee table sits in front of the couch. An endtable is next to a chair on the left. The poster is signed in blue ink by Falter on the bottom left corner. On the top left of the cover "The Saturday Evening // Post // May 5, 1951 - 15¢" is printed in white on a purple box. The box extends across the top of the poster. To the right is a white square with black print listing two articles in the magazine.
