Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. March 19, 1960 Saturday Evening Post magazine featuring cover art by John Falter. The cover unfolds for the two page "gatefold" illustration, "Fifth Avenue," depicting a bird's-eye view of New York. The view is of a fountain, garden, and trees on a square bordered by a street and skyscrapers. Cars jam the road. Pedestrians are walking on the streets, and sitting on the square. Five horse drawn carriages wait by the square for passengers. The buildings on the left and right have flags hanging down. On the lower left corner of the cover is the artist's signature. At the top of the cover is the title of the magazine, date, and a sample listing of articles contained in the magazine. Page 5 has a blurb about the artist and the cover. Page 126 in the magazine has a photograph and article about the cover subject "Old New York."
