Description Charcoal and watercolor on cardboard. Drawing of a circus announcer at a podium speaking animatedly to a group of people--men, women and children--standing in front of the podium. Above the announcer are signs and the side of a tent. The announcer is wearing a top hat, gloves, and a coat. A child standing on the outside of the group is holding a balloon. The drawing is shaded with grey watercolor. The drawing is matted. On the reverse side a charcoal portrait of Falter's head and shoulders. Falter is wearing a suit, shirt, and tie, and is looking straight ahead if a frontal view. Beneath the portrait is the note: "Self portrait 1930 or 31".
