Description Ink on white paper. Print of three stroke and crosshatch illustrations for The Scarlet Pimpernel 1964 McMillian Classic Edition by Baroness Orczy. The illustrations are accompanied by measurement markings--arrows and lines above each with 5 5/8" marked. Illustration on the left is a drawing of a figure in a button up shirt standing in a doorway, calling out with a hand cupped against the mouth and the other hand holding onto the door. Behind the figure is a porch through which a carriage drawn by four horses can be seen. Illustration on the middle of the paper is a drawing of an adult woman with curled hair in a robe crouched in some bushes in the center foreground. The woman is watching a carriage with two passengers and two horses with riders following the carriage move into the distance in the background. Illustration on the right of the paper is a drawing of two figures, an adult woman in a cloak and a man in a tri-corner hat and coat carrying luggage, descend along a stone walled road to a village by the sea. Along the road are two story houses. Beyond the houses is the sea and a dock with a boat sitting. Along the coast are cliffs. Behind the stone wall on the right is grass.
