Description Page from a scrapbook. Grey/brown with paper adhered to both sides. Three ring holes on the left edge of the paper. The front side has a halftone photograph of John Falter standing in front of an easel painting on a canvas. Falter is wearing a smock. Beneath the photo is a caption that describes the scene photographed. "Spring 1929" is written in graphite on the right edge of the clipping. Pasted over the bottom edge of the photo is a Western Union telegram informing John Falter of a scholarship award from the Art Students League. The telegram was received in Kansas City, Missouri. On the back of the paper is an illustration from a pamphlet dated December 1930 from Youth. A color illustration of the birth of Jesus with a baby lying on straw surrounded by wise men and shepherd. A young boy offers Jesus a wooden donkey. The illustration is captioned above with a description of the illustration. Falter's signature is written in the upper left corner. Beneath the illustration is another illustration of a man wearing headgear.
