Description Acrylic painting by John Falter on a color gravure print titled "Central-Park, Winter; the Skating Pond" by Currier & Ives and adjusted by John Falter. The print depicts a tree lined skating pond with a crowd of people dressed in mid 18th century clothing skating. The men in the print have radios against their ears. Lark cigarette carton boxes are painted into the arms and hands of the ice skaters. The Lark cartons are red with "Lark" written on the top in light pink. Several ice skaters are smoking the cigarettes. Beneath the print on the left: "Currier & Ives, Lith. NY, adjusted by John Falter" is engraved. The printing company is engraved beneath the right corner, and the title is engraved below the print on the middle. A plate mark frames the image.
