Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Poster of the May 19, 1945 Saturday Evening Post cover featuring the illustration "Pershing Square" by John Falter. The illustration is a bird's-eye view of a busy city street. Lanes of traffic are shown busy with cars. Pedestrians are walking on the street; a woman in a red dress is eyes by two sailors walking in the middle and in the foreground a man picks a weed from the fenced grass. The street is bordered by buildings. In the background is Grand Central Station--a grey building with a clock at the top of the building above columns. On the lower right corner is the artist's printed and handwritten signature. At the top of the poster is the title of the magazine, date, price, and a listing of articles contained in the magazine. The manufacturing location and date is printed on the bottom right edge. The heavyset man leaning over the fence is Jack Smart, an actor and friend of Falter.
