Description Offset lithograph on groundwood pulp paper. Black and white ad for Old Gold cigarettes. Ad features an illustration on the top half of the ad and ad copy and a Old Gold carton on the bottom half. The illustration is of two military personel, male and female, standing outside an occupied phonebooth. The female looks aggravated and has her arms folded across her chest. The male is smiling and is offering her an Old Golds cigarette. In the phonebooth, an older woman wearing a hat with a bird sitting on it. Across the top of the ad is the text: "Why be Irritated?" and below the illustration: "Light an Old Gold!" The bottom half of the ad has text on "Apple Honey" and how it keeps Old Golds dry on the left and a carton of Old Golds on the right. On the bottom of the page is the manufacturer's name, address, and description of the ad.
