Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Cover for the magazine Western Story, published by Street & Smith. The cover is green with an image featuring a three men in coats and cowboy hats adorned with holly playing instruments and singing. The man on the left is playing a guitar, the man in the middle is playing a fiddle, and the man on the right is playing a hand accordion. It is snowing on the three men. The artist's signature is signed in green on the bottom right. Above the image is orange and white text: "Street & Smith's // Western Story // Magazine // Every Week." On the left, above the cowboy hat: "Merry // Xmas," and printed above it is a red circle with black text: "Dec. 26, 1931 // 15¢ In U.S.A." On the left edge is the spine of the magazine with the date and name of the magazine printed in black. On the reverse side is a black text ad advertising "Win $2,500" for finding the King's Men in an illustration printed at the top of the page.
