Title Painting; John Falter; Acrylic on Transparency
Object Name Painting
Description Acrylic painting on transparency. The transparency is a preliminary overlay to the lithograph "Woodcock Shooting" by Currier and Ives (10645-3673). The transparency has an acrylic painting of three figures. A man on the right in a green shirt and black pants has been shot and is clutching his chest. Smoke is drawn to the left of the man. A head is painted on the right looking toward the left with a hat drawn on his head. The third man is half drawn hiding behind a tree on the right side. He is wearing a cowboy hat and is holding his gun up in the air. A curve is drawn on the lower middle of the paper (creates a "?" when place on print).
