Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Magazine clipping of the July 7, 1945 Saturday Evening Post cover featuring the illustration "Independence Parade" by John Falter. The illustration is a bird's-eye view of a band marching down the street followed by a large group of people. Lining the street are people watching the parade. Buildings line the streets and are decorated with red, white, and blue bunting and American flags. In the background a train is moving away from the scene on the left. Telephone poles hang in the sky on the right. The sky is blue with white clouds. On the lower left corner is the artist's printed and handwritten signature. At the top of the poster is the title of the magazine, date, price, and a listing of articles contained in the magazine. An address stamp is adhered to the top right corner.
