Description Magazine clipping from Arizona Highways, October 1975. The clipping features one half of Falter's painting "Ceremony of the Snake - 9th Day". The image features a Native American ritual in a courtyard of adobe housing. People are standing and sitting on the houses and stairs and watching the ceremony. The Native Americans are dancing and playing instruments around a partially depicted teepee made of brush. In the lower right corner is the page number, magazine title, and date. On the back of the paper is a page from an article about ore, rich deposits, and minerals. On the right side of the painting is a caption with the paintings title, artist name, and provenance history of the work owned by Mrs. Katherine Smith. On the reverse side is an article examining the ritual depicted in the painting. Titled "Rain Song" the text is included from a book, The Book of the Hopi by Frank Waters. A black and white pen sketch illustrates the article.
