Description Printing proof for a cover of "The Master Detective." Color offset lithograph on white paper. Image on the paper is of a blonde woman in a dark pink dress sitting down and looking up at a man in a brown suit and red tie holding his stomach with one hand and gripping a pistol in the other. The cover is blue. Printed over the image at the top of the page is: "The Master Detective." "Detective" is printed in the beam of light from a metal flashlight. "Formerly 25¢ // Now // 15¢" is printed on a red shield beneath the flashlight. Printed on the upper right corner is the month of publication. Printed on the left edge in white: "Solving Chicago's // Sensational // Cabaret Murder." Printed vertically on the left edge--the spine of the magazine--in blue: "July 1933," "The Master Detective," "15 Cents." Dimension notes are made in graphite along the top left and right edge.
