People Allington, Margaret
History The nursing uniform and cap was Margaret's graduating uniform. She graduated from the Saint Elizabeth's nursing school in August of 1963. At that time, the school was at 11th and South. She thinks there were 42 in her graduating class. This was a three-year program. Students purchased the uniform and then wore them in their post-graduation jobs. Margaret believes that the uniform was purchased at a uniform store in Lincoln. She thinks there were two different types to choose from. After graduation, nurses continued to wear their graduation uniform as well as purchase others.
