Object Name Print
Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Front of paper features a painting by John Falter, "The Mission to Port Lyautey," depicting three soldiers traveling in a Jeep. The soldiers are holding three flags--a French, American, and white flag. A bomb has exploded in front of the Jeep, jostling the vehicle and its passengers. Two soldiers sit in the jeep and one stands next to it holding a white flag. Surrounding the Jeep are mini explosions with the sky melding with the ground in a grey/tan/red color. The painting is framed by a grey border. Printed along the bottom is black text: "Esquire, Inc., 1944" below the left corner, "The Mission to Port Lyautey by John Falter" beneath the middle, and "Printed Especially For Esquire" below the right corner.
