Title Keychain, Nebraska State Quarter
Object Name Chain, Key
Description 2006 Nebraska state quarter mounted in a stainless steel keychain with key ring. The reverse side of the keychain has the engraving: "Governor Dave Heineman and First Lady Sally Ganem." Quarter has imagery of Chimney Rock, the sun with sunbeams, and a covered wagon with people being pulled by oxen. At the top it reads: "NEBRASKA 1867." The label "CHIMNEY ROCK" lies just beneath the image of the rock. Just below this are the initials CLV, presumably representing the U.S. Mint sculptor-engraver Charles Vickers. Event The 2006 unveiling of the Nebraska quarter
History In 2006, the Nebraska quarter of the U.S. Mint state quarters series was issued. The Nebraska quarter was unveiled at a formal ceremony at Chimney Rock (which is depicted on the quarter), and this keychain was apparently "distributed there" according to donor.
