Quilt has 13 original embroidered and/or appliqued designed blocks, with 12 alternate plain white blocks, blocks separated by dark brown sashing strips. Brown and white border,black binding and backing. Depicts Neihardt's Interpretation of the Months, quilting 7 stitches to inch, mostly in outline pattern. Dominant colors are brown, tan, red, white and blue. The piece is hand appliqued, embroidered and quilted.

This quilt, made by Edith Darling in 1979, shows John G. Neihardt's interpretation of the months. It was purchased by the donor at the NETV auction in 1979 or 1980. Made for the NETV annual fundraising auction and quilted by women of the United Presbyterian Church in Morrill.
