Description Color offset lithograph on white paper featuring a painting by John Falter, Keeper of the Faith, depicting a soldier crawling on an exposed deck of a ship fighting a fire with a waterhose. Through the hole in the bulkhead a naval battle is visible with battleships burning, spotlights, tracers, and ships. The soldier is wearing a shirt, pants, boots, and a green helmet, and is on his knees pouring water onto a blaze on the right side of the painting. Smoke and fire roll on the right side and top of the painting. The painting is framed by a grey border. Printed along the bottom is black text: "Esquire, Inc., 1944" below the left corner, "The Keeper of the Faith by John Falter" beneath the middle, and "Printed Especially For Esquire" below the right corner. Stamped on the back side is Falter's name and address on the left edge.
