Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. January 16, 1943 Saturday Evening Post magazine featuring cover art by John Falter. The illustration, "Benjamin Franklin," is a portrait of Ben Franklin sitting at a desk turned toward the right holding aloft a sheet of parchment with black ink handwriting on it. The other hand is holding a pair of glasses. On the desk is a quill and an inkwell. Franklin is wearing a brown coat and white frilly shirt. In the background are wood panels. On the lower left corner of the cover is the artist's signature. At the top of the cover is the title of the magazine, date, and a sample listing of articles contained in the magazine. Page 4 has an article about the artist and the cover titled "Keeping Posted."
