Description Acrylic painting on transparency. The transparency is taped to a lithograph of "A Midnight Race on the Mississippi" by Currier and Ives. The transparency and lithograph are taped to a piece of white cardboard. The color lithograph depicts two steamboats racing up a river lined with hills covered with trees on the left. The boats race under a cloudy moonlit night. One boat is leading the other. The transparency has an acrylic painting of two rockets taking off on the decks of the two boats. Smoke and fire emit from the rockets as they take off. On the bottom of the print are the maker's and the manufacturer's marks as well as the title. Written above the title in graphite, "Floating Pad Race on the Missilosippi."
