Description Oil on canvas. Painting by John Falter of a fire. In the background on the right a building is consumed in bright flames. To the left of the burning building is a line of buildings with smoke curling around them. In the foreground is a crowd of people; a woman is standing up in a convertible car watching a man in a trench coat with his fist raised to another man that he is pushing against. The man is shrinking back in shock. To the left of the two tangled men, is a man with his head in his hands, another man is standing next to him supporting the grieving party. Beyond the two fighting men other figures are visible with batons and sticks. The painting is signed on the lower right corner and dated.
