Description Offset lithograph on groundwood pulp paper. Black and white ad for Old Gold cigarettes. Ad features an illustration on the top half of the ad and ad copy and an Old Gold carton on the bottom half. The illustration is of a couple, a military man in uniform and his date, a woman in a suit, at a restaurant. They are seated at a table with a checkered table cloth. A waiter stands behind them with a palm slapped to his face. An upturned plate of spaghetti is in front of the military man. The woman is offering him an Old Gold cigarette. A title, "Why Be Irritated?" is printed above the military man's head. Below the illustration: "Light an Old Gold!" Below the illustration is additional ad text describing Old Gold cigarettes and their guard against dryness. Next to the copy is a carton of Old Gold.
