Description Printing proof for a cover of "True Detective." Color offset lithograph on white paper. Image on the paper is of a a man in a brown suit, white shirt, and red tie clutching his stomach with one hand. The man is wearing glasses and has combed over hair and is staring at a hand holding a fired gun in the lower right corner. Printed on the top of the page is: "True Detective // Mysteries," in yellow. Printed at the top of the page on the right is "August" in white. A red badge on the upper right corner "A Macfadden Publications // 25 Cents." Printed on the right edge in white: "Cermak // Was Put // On the Spot!" Printed vertically on the left edge--the spine of the magazine--in black: "August, 1933," "True Detective Mysteries," "25 Cents."
