Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Printing proof featuring the June 19, 1948 Saturday Evening Post cover. The cover features the illustration "Republican Convention" by John Falter. The illustration depicts a Republican convention in a crowded auditorium. In the foreground are people marching with signs that have state names and an elephant holding a United States flag with "G.O.P" printed on the side. A man is photographing the Ohio delegate. In the background are two tiers of seats likewise crowded with people. On the lower left corner is the artist's signature. At the top of the page is the title of the magazine, date, and a square with a white border. On the bottom of the page is a number written in blue colored pencil: "06515".
