Object Name Pincushion
Description Beaded pin cushion made from gold colored velveteen. PIn cushion is a tri-fold design. Inside of cushion is lined with yellow cotton fabric. Center section is stuffed with an unknown material and is designed for sticking pins and needles in. Exterior side of pin cushion has decorative beadwork, featuring a geometric design. Opposite side has the date 1911 beaded on it, with several small circular shapes below it. Cushion closes with metal hook and eye closures. Bottom of cushion has three sections of beaded fringe. Beads used in the design are clear, green, red and gray. A loose string, with several beads still on it, at the top of the bag is the remains of a strap. The beads are attached to the cushion with thread and paper templates. Templates are visible at edges of beadwork.
