Description Tempera paint and charcoal on brown paper. Painting of a jazz musician; an adult male head and neck, holding a partially depicted bass--black neck and tan head--in one hand. Male has grey/black hair, and a white and pink plaid shirt on. Figure is facing right. Charcoal is used to draw facial features, strings of the bass, and hair. Tempera used to color image. Edges of paper are unevenly cut.
