The East-West Shrine Game is an post-season college football game. All-star players from colleges in eastern states play against all-stars from colleges in western states. The first game was played in 1925.
The game is sponsored by the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine and the net proceeds go to the Shrine's charities, such as their Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Franklin Meier of Nebraska played in the 1935 bowl. Frank was a 1934 All-American. He made all conference in 1933 and 1934 and lettered all three years in football at Nebraska.
