Object Name Doll
Description Plastic body with jointed shoulders. Brown hair braided and decorated with red, blue, and yellow ribbon, as well as blue and pink cotton flowers. Plastic eyes and lashes are glued to the face. The white cotton shirt is decorated with flowers made of thread. A white apron is made of linen, and the blue skirt is velvet with white plastic discs around the trim. The black boots are plastic. The blue vest is also lined with plastic discs. Plastic gold and clear beads are wrapped around the neck. The clothing is machine-sewn.

History Doll dressed in Ukrainian costume made by Chrystyna Storonskij of Lincoln in 1979. Chrystyna was born in 1925 in Stari Petlykiwci, Ukraine. She came to Lincoln in 1956 and worked as a cook at the University Club. She died in 2009 at the age of 84.
