Title Quilt, Ocean Wave Variation

Description Ocean Wave variation. White backing with folds over the front to form the binding. One edge has a wild goose chase border on 3/4 of the side ad a smaller triangular pattern on the other 1/4. Two edges have a red stripe border. The other edge has a double red stripe border with a white and blue print between the stripes. Overall the quilt is red with a white print fabrics. The prints are stripes and stars. Quilting is echo quilting. It is hand quilted at 5 stitches per inch. There is a thin batting.

History This quilt belonged to Hazel Gertrude Kinscella. Hazel was a concert pianist, author and professor of Piano at the University of NE School of Music. The Kinscella Plan or "Lincoln Way" of conducting piano classes in schools was used in school systems all over the world.
