Object Name Print
Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Front of paper features a painting by John Falter, "The Mission to Port Lyautey," depicting three soldiers traveling in a Jeep. The soldiers are holding three flags--a French, American, and white flag. A bomb has exploded in front of the Jeep, jostling the vehicle and its passengers. Two soldiers sit in the jeep and one stands next to it holding a white flag. Surrounding the Jeep are mini explosions with the sky melding with the ground in a grey/tan/red color. The painting is framed by a grey border. The title of the piece is printed beneath the painting. Credits are printed below the left and right corners of the painting. On the back of the paper is a brunette Vargas girl in a black strapless dress leaning back on a outline of a piano. Beside her is a poem by Phil Stack titled "Torch Singer." Credit to A. Vargas made below the woman and below the poem. Falter's address is stamped in the upper right corner.
