Description Color offset lithograph on white paper. Printing proof advertisement. This is an advertisement for Pall Mall cigarettes. At the top is an illustration of a ship architect sitting at a desk. He has reddish-brown hair and is wearing glasses, a button-down shirt with a tie and a vest. Blueprints for a ship lay in front of him, but he is showing two different "designs" of a cigarette to a Naval Officer. Underneath the illustration says "Here's a basic improvement in cigarette design!" Below the header is a description of Pall Mall cigarettes, and to the right of the description is a red pack of Pall Mall cigarettes. Below the description is a drawing of a Pall Mall and a dotted silhouette of a cigarette, stating "PLACE YOUR OLD CIGARETTE HERE." Below the cigarette drawing, in small lettering, states "WHEREVER PARTICULAR PEOPLE CONGREGATE"
